Going to brag on "my kids" a bit

Featured Replies

So after a slow start to the season and wondering if we would win 4-5 games, my 7/8 grade team has been pretty successful of late and has been on a little bit of a winning streak. Well after another victory last night and mentioning we were on a winning streak, the kids informed me that it's been 10 in a row! I'm not sure, but I think that might be the best we have done at the middle school level. Very proud of the kids...they have really shown a lot of improvement and willingness to learn and play hard. They have really gone from a rag-tag group to a pretty decent little team.

The 7th graders themselves have won several 7th grade games as well and have a good record going. Proud of all the kids.:thumb:

Congrats to you and your team. 7th grade basketball is probably one of the best ages to coach. IMO its when the players are mature enough to put the team first and can develop their athleticism.

I have I believe 16 kids on the 7/8 team...six 7th graders and ten 8th graders. They have really formed into a team. Now if I could just get my pg to see the floor and understand the game a little better, we just might be dangerous.
