Games yesterday held to form and for the most part were uninteresting with the exception of the CAL/North Bullitt game . I am planning on attending today as the games should be more exciting. Two Top 15 match ups with Eastern/Mercy and Manual/Sacred Heart. Both are rematches from games played earlier in the season.

I was able to attend these games yesterday after I promised my sister I would go shopping with her today. I was very impressed with Mercy. Eastern looked shocked the entire game. Porter was a non factor. She seemed intimidated by the two young tall players from Mercy.

Butler was the best looking team yesterday. They seem to have all the parts and they are so deep. They played unselfishly and seemed ot be having alot of fun.

Male is talented but they beat a depleted bullitt East team whose oint guard was absent due to illness and of course Duvall is also out. So the Lady chargers are rebuilding and getting stronger for next season but they play wiht alot of heart.

Male has some issues with attitudes. Their lack of professional demeanor could cost them in the post season.

Manual is a tough matchup with McKune. She appears to be able to dominate whenever she wants and with youngsters like Blackford, Griffin Smith and Ballard they are developing depth along the likes of Butler.

Sacred Heart played gamely but lack of toughness down the stretch killed their chances. A couple silly fouls and turnovers as well as failure to block out on free throws led to their demise. You could hear their coach complaing about the refs but the refs were not the problem. The seemed to be very consistent in this game

I thought the officiating was extremely good in all four games.

I look forward to Friday

Louisville has some very good teams. It is unfortunate only two of them will be at the state tournament

My observations from day 2. I was not surprised that Mercy won, but the margin was impressive. Mercy had the three ball going and dominated the boards. Eastern was never really in the game in the second half. It will be interesting to see how much of this will carryover into the Etown game.

No surprise with Male or Butler. Both teams were noticeably better than their opponent and both controlled the game from the onset. Butler impressive in Q1 in jumping to a 31-13 lead. You got to respect a favorite that takes care of business early.

The game of the day was Manual Vs Sacred Heart. Both teams slugged it out for 32 minutes with Manual making one more play in the end. McCune was impressive finishing down low. If she didn't finish, she often got her rebound and was fouled. Solid from the line all night. Curry had two big offensive rebounds late in the game that led to 4 points. While rebounding was an issue for SH (32 Vs 40), as they review the film, there were multiple lost opportunities (often unforced errors) during the game that will leave them shaking their heads. SH could have been the winner tonight and in the end Manual made one more winning play.

I have seen manual play a few times this year and thought they played way better against SH, maybe it's them stepping up and wanting to beat historically one of the best programs in the state in SH.

Mercy is same old mercy, not great bball players but they buy into the system.

I think butler will be in finals against etown

Are the games on the net or radio anywhere?
