Happy Holidays from Western Kentucky. Most teams are on deep road trips this week, as the holiday tournament season is in full swing right now. Here are the last 3rd region rankings of 2015....

.Meade Co (10-1 SAME) - The Waves suffered their first loss of the season to undefeated Mercer County last week in the Mercer Co holiday tournament. The Waves got wins over Bourbon Co and Collins before losing the title game to the hosts. Meade plays in the South Oldham holiday tournament this week.

.Breck Co (8-2 UP 1) - Breck County held serve and won their holiday tournament last week with wins over St Patrick, Portland TN & Fort Knox. The Tigers head to Panama City Beach for New Years on a 4 game winning streak.

.Daviess Co (8-2 DOWN 1) - DC dropped a lopsided affair to Christian County last week in the OIT before bouncing back with a win over Apollo. The last day of the tournament was stormed out, preventing the Panthers a shot at 3rd place. The Panthers head to the LaRue County holiday tournament this week.

.Owensboro (3-5 SAME) - After dropping a game to Henderson in the OIT, the Devils rallied to get a nice win over cross town rival Owensboro Catholic. The Devils missed another shot at Christian County due to storms. Owensboro is skipping tournaments this week, but head to Whitefield Academy for a game on Wednesday.

.Owensboro Catholic (3-5 UP 1) - The Aces got big wins against Henderson and South Warren last week. They just missed a shot at the OIT championship with a loss to Owensboro. Catholic seems to be getting better every time they step on the court, winning 3 of their last 4 games. Catholic heads to the Ohio County holiday tournaments this week.

.Muhlenberg County (5-5 DOWN 1) - The Mustangs went 1-2 last week, defeating Barbourville before losing to Pulaski and Mercer County. Kerry Stovall's group has shown improvement thru their first 10 games. The Stangs host Madisonville in their New Years Bash on 1/2.

.Hancock County (5-5 SAME) - Hancock showed well in their Christmas tournament last week before dropping the title game to Franklin Simpson. Its been an up and down start for the Hornets thus far. They head to Tecumseh Indiana for their New Years tournament this week.

.Edmonson County (7-4 UP 1) - Edmonson dropped the opening round game of the Hancock County Christmas tournament to the host Hornets but bounced back nicely with wins vs Villa Madonna and Nelson County. The Wildcats head to Ohio County this week.

.Apollo (3-6 DOWN 1) - The Eagles have proved to be very up and down thru their first 9 games of the season. They led Daviess County for most of the game last week, but the wheels came off in the 4th quarter. Apollo got a win over Mclean but dropped a big one to Christian to finish 1-2 in OIT action last week. They travel to Russellville this week for their holiday tournament.

.Grayson County (6-4 SAME) - Grayson has won 4 of its last 5. They are currently playing in the Campbellsville tournament where they are 1-1(loss to Marion, win over Monroe).

.Whitesville Trinity (6-3 SAME) - The Raiders won the Itty Bitty Christmas Tourney at Christian Fellowship last week. They take a 3 game win streak on the road this week vs Dayton, Beechwood and Silver Grove.

.Ohio Co (5-6 SAME) - The Eagles continue to show growth as they finished 3rd in the Carroll County Christmas tourney last week. They host a holiday tournament of their own this week.

.Mclean Co (2-7 DOWN 2) - Mclean continues its free fall through the polls after going 0-3 in the OIT this past week. The potential is still there, but the Cougars need to find some wins in a hurry. They have a chance to work out some kinks in practice as they are off until a 1/5 meeting with Daviess County.

.Cloverport (0-9 SAME) - The Aces dropped 3 games in Breck County last week. They will head back to Breck for a meeting against the Tigers on the 2nd.
