Double Standard??

Coached both.

On the floor, girls are easier to coach.

Off the floor, boys are easier to coach.

 

True enough.

 

I have coached both, my brother has coached both and we agree that overall, boys are more difficult for one reason, ... the girls listen better. Yes they can have more drama off the floor. If boys have a disagreement, they just beat the tar out of each other and it is done. With girls, it can linger and grow exponentially into a mountain from a molehill in no time at all. The girls want to know why there is an issue, boys don't care why. Girls also hold grudges longer than boys. But the boys goof off more than the girls do and that can also be an issue.

 

The bottom line is that no coach has it easy. Coaching in either the testoterone or estrogen sea is difficult. They all have hormone issues, ... they are developing into young adults.
