Action begins again in the 6th tomorrow night with Webster visiting Henderson. It is homecoming for the Colonels and it should be a very good homecoming. Colonels playing very well with DeAngelo Ware hitting his stride scoring over 18 a game over the last few games. With Robert Dawson and Karteece Rollins doing their thing on the boards make the Colonels a sure favorite, especially at home. Jon Stubblefield leads the Trojans at 14 per game and can get hot and score much more like he did against Union County but the Cols want let Stubbs get those easy looks he got against that UC zone. You can't forget Cayden Edmonson scoring around 11 a game and getting 9 boards a game. Looks to be a close game for a while but I look for Henderson to pull away late and get a leg up on the top seed.

Emmitt there are 17 post in this thread and you have 11 of them. I'm assuming since you know the terrain so well you've decide to be the official analyst for the 6th district?

Cols still without Dawson.

No analyst here Chief. I thought at the beginning it would be fun and there would be a lot of posts because the 6th has always been interesting in some ways. Lot of views but no posts so this is my last post. Results and details are in The Gleaner the next day and actually on line most nights by 11. I am going to the game because I think it will be a good one. Good luck to all of the 6th district teams both boys and girls the rest of the season.

Well after that drubbing Webster just put on Henderson on the road. I was just curious if y'all had any changes of heart when it came to who the best team in the 6th is? So much for comparing McClean Co. scores to determine the best team. It wasn't even as close as the scoreboard showed.

So much for comparing their scores vs Union. Lol

If they can stay healthy and actually have everyone available to play I still say Henderson is tops in the district. Got a chance to see DJ Mitchell in action today. He can be special - along with Ware if he continues to develop. If this group sticks together, maybe they can get to Rupp in a couple years. MAYBE.

As far as this year goes, if they ever learn to consistently figure out the first quarter they'll be fine.

I didn't see a single thing in that game that made me think Henderson was the best team in the district. Really they got dominated most of the game. It was 13 points on the scoreboard but felt like more of a blow out. Henderson tried to play man, like in a earlier post I said they would. And they couldn't match up. In a earlier post I also said you couldn't compare margins of wins to determine who beats who, that also held true. Webster won in all aspects. Henderson knocked down some late 3's to keep it respectful but other than that it was domination. They also thoroughly got out coached. I'm starting to wonder how much longer it's going to be before the admin at Henderson starts to regret hiring Smithart and not Jon Newton when Starnes got the boot.
