I just found out that Raceland baseball was well represented on the ADI all area team. Tolliver, Darby and Grizzle were named to the all area team with Morris and Miller listed as honorable mention. T. Tolliver was named "player of the year" and Coach Randy Vanderhoof was named "Coch of the Year". Tolliver is very well deserving and an enjoyable baseball player to watch.

 

Glad to see Coach Vanderhoof getting some past due recognition as well.

Maybe "local" past due reconigntion, I can agree with that but Coach Vanderhoof has recieved well deserves recognition by recently being inducted to the Kentucky High School Hall of Fame for his baseball coaching wins / accomplishements.

He is in the KHSBCA Hall of Fame. You must have a minimum of 300 career wins to be inducted. He is on a short list of area coaches past and present to be in the KHSBCA Hall of Fame. The others are Jody Hamilton who is at or near 600 wins. JP Kouns (East Carter)who finished with around 525 wins, and Larry Hardin (Rowan Co.)who was also around 525.
