Final in Lexington.

Slow start from the Generals mixed in with a lot of fouls made game real close throughout the first half. Lafayette pulled away I n 2nd half

Ross Jenkins 21pts 14rebs 1blk 1stl

(Solid came on in 2nd half strong)

Harrison Lane 15pts 2assts

(found his touch late then came on)

T.J. Downey 13 (good game)

Jajuante Carpenter 12pts 5assts

(Had to do a lot of the pg duty Jaelin limited )

Jaelin Jenkins 5pts 3assts 1reb

(Limited mins foul trouble all game. Picked up 2 early fouls. Then tagged with another before halftime)

Lincoln well coached with good guard play.

This was a really close game for 3 quarters. Lincoln County led by 6 at the half and Lafayette was up 3 after 3 quarters. 4th quarter was all Lafayette. Harrison Lane and Ross Jenkins took over the 4th quarter. I was impressed with the bench play of Lafayette in this game. The numbers may not stick out but at one point in the first half Coach Mendenhall took all the starters out. Wasn't to much of a drop off. 20 and 1 did a good job of handling the ball.

Lincoln is young and very inexperienced with all they lost from last year but will be fine. They play hard and are well coached. Really liked 1, he was a nice player.

Wow, much much closer than I would have expected!

Very good analogy @mooremiller31 very good. #1 for Lincoln as well as the lefty #12 were good players. Lafayette being in the double bonus with 6:45 had a lot to do with the lead stretching to 10pts. As well as their key guys getting hit with sum early fouks. Lincoln co.should be credited with a good coaching strategy and taking advantage of the foul line during the double bonus. Lafayette bench stepped up mightily to withstand the deficit.

Surprised a lot of people in the crowd

Crowd?? What crowd? There were not much in the stands. The people in the stand were loud.

@Northerner I'd say a football hangover. It was sparse to say the least. At the same time in Lexington there is more going on than one game. Its not a town that just bolsters one school. You had LexCath Tates Creek and Henry Clay games going on at the same time. I'm sure the numbers will start to rise as the season progresses. Unfortunately there was not a lot of build up for a Lafayette vs Lincoln Co home game. Turned out to be a good one though
