November 19, 201510 yr It sounds over the top but I understand protecting a trademark from another business. I probably wouldn't pursue it but have no problem with OSU. I doubt very much if they're really competing with each other but these things are often pursued just to put it out there in case other businesses are of a mind to use the trademark. Big-money operations often do this, especially in the corporate world. Most of the time they figure you'll just accede to their wishes rather than fight their legal team to prove a point.
