[h=1]ALL-WKC FOOTBALL TEAM NAMED[/h]

Nine different schools are represented on the All-Western Kentucky Conference Football Team, which is based on voting done by coaches from all six classes.

 

Mayfield led the way with seven players selected followed by Murray and Caldwell County with four each.

First congrats to all these players who are deserving to be recognized!

 

Second, shouldn't this be called the All-Purchase Area Team instead of WKC team. I could be wrong, but I though BG was also affiliated with the WKC. Honestly, I just want to make sure I'm correct that BG was in that conference.

If memory serves, everything from Bowling Green to Owensboro and west of that was originally in the WKC years (and years) ago.

 

But I think the WKC now only extends as far east as the Christian County and Hopkins County schools.
