newarkcatholicfan
This was a nice little battle in the Southern California Inter. Athletic Conf. last night. Conference leader La Verne (5-1 4-0) had to come from behind late to post he win. They used a strong rushing game, that accounted for five rushing touchdowns. Dallas Parent had three of them, while Travis SparksJackson added two. The biggest difference in this one was the offensive line play of La Verne. They over powered the defensive line of Redlands for much of the game. The La Verne defensive line did the same thing for most of the game. For Redlands(2-4 2-2) it was another close defeat, that saw their defense where down in the final frame.

tark the shark
I had a friend of mine who played baseball for La Verne. His roommate was Joe Giradi. They would play a monster schedule, ASU and USC. If my memory serves me correct, La Verne is off the 10, close to the old Hollywood Park.
