Any one with game results for the tourney? How is Lex Catholic and Novosell doing? Is J-Town looking strong for next year?

Lex Cath lost to Manual by 6 after being up by 10 in the 3rd. Novosel played well, considering only getting 2 hrs of sleep after returning from Italy last night.

Final four is Ballard, Fairdale, Butler, and Manual. Ballard beat Fairdale and Manual and Butler where tied late.

Kind of surprising that J-town didn't make the final four. Didn't they return quite a few from last years team, or am I mistaken????

I think that they lost a lot. I saw them at PRP with a lot of different faces, but I'm not sure how many people were missing for fall sports, injury, or other various reasons.

I saw them lose a close one to Manual. They are not as athletic as last year. Coleman wasn't very aggressive and Basey showed some attitude and the coach benched him. Coach Morrow was on him hard during the Manual game about his attitude. Losing Ware and Easley is hard to replace. Ware to me was the heart and soul of that team. He did a lot of the dirty work. They will still compete for the 7th region crown. Ballard to me is the favorite.

They will be very tough

I highly doubt it will be a cake-walk for Ballard winning the state title in the upcoming season. From what I am seeing with the scores in the Jeffersontown Shootout and from other tourneys and summer league games in Kentucky, is that the 7th region will offer quite a few viable challengers for Ballard. I would say that several teams throughout the state not mentioned as a contender yet will have their team's name posted on the threads as having a legit shot of making it to Rupp and winning it all by mid-season.

Winning there district will be a challenge IMO

This team with some luck and hard work could be in the USA Today top 25 by the end of the year ...

That would be great to see that Kentucky basketball would get such exposure.

They may get some this year ....... I hear there playing a great team @ Pikeville Expo and playing North College Hill @ Louisville Gardens late in the year
