Police officers sue gun store

Milwaukee officers' lawsuit could set gun law precedent - CBS News

Talk about setting a precedent.

I know establishments who sell alcohol to minors have gotten themselves in hot water, which would seem to be very similar.

What precedent if they prove they sold it illegally no one has a problem with punishment .

This isn't going to set up some precedent where all stores can be sued. It's heavy burden to prove what police are claiming here.

They have to prove the store willingly sold it through a third party knowing the criminal could not legally purchase the gun. That doesn't seem too difficult with testimony or video evidence. As far as what it means...gun dealers cross their Ts and dot their Is on every sale at the minimum. Past that who knows maybe repeal of Bush 2005 law saving the gun lobby from litigation.

If he or Clinton would have done that for big tobacco KY would still have its carcenogenic cash crop.

You're stretching it.

The officers won their lawsuit.

I'm sure it will be appealed.
