Holmes 3 Dixie Heights 1

Great win for the Bulldogs!

0-0 at the half! Went down 1-0 then scored 3 straight.

I was impressed by this Holmes team that showed up today!

Good luck to both teams as dicstricts start this week!

Holmes tempo was incredible. They played better than they have all season. Potentially a win that shows the program is on the rise. I expect big things out of this team in the next 2-3 years. Still very young

This doesn't surprise me. I think I called this in the prediction thread that they could possibly win!

Great win for the Holmes program

Did Dixie just get outplayed?

BIG win for Holmes!

Honestly, Holmes played as if they wanted it more. They played with aggression. Brockhoff had an unbelievable flying header to prevent a shot late in the second half. Sort of an example of the heart.

Brockhoff is one hell of a player, seen him play a couple time this season. Seems like a well deserved win for the Bulldogs!!

Sounds like a complete different team that what I've saw in the past.

Nice win, Bulldogs!

I agree with that statement above! This was a different Holmes team! What impressed me was the composure they held. After going down 1-0 they could of folded, but they even the score up within 5 minutes with a goal by number 7 (he's a fantastic player).

Give props to their goalie Roy Carter, I believe. He kept the Bulldogs in the game with some HUGE saves!

Agree with your statement about Carter. Kid has turned into a solid goalie, and by what I have heard, he's had no soccer experience before last year. #16, Jamar Yewitt has been huge for the dogs recently. Scored game winning goal against Mason, scored twice against CovLat, and scored again today. He is one of the fastest players I've seen all year. If he continues to work, he can be a stud.

#7 is Kerry Nolasco and he is indeed a very nice player... nice kid too. Holmes has played him in midfield a fair amount, but I think he is most dangerous/helpful when he plays up top.

He's a junior I believe - he's improved a lot this season, he had an asking game against CCH earlier this season. Has potential, if he keeps it up next year will be a breakout year for him.

That's impressive! He's picked up quickly.

Jamar has stepped up, he's so quick! If he develops better ball control, watch out NKY! I believe he's a junior??

He played Mid today and did a great job. He tends to 'flop' but today he didn't and I think that changed a lot about the game having him in action instead of laying on the ground.

Yes he is a junior!

Also forgot to add that Thomas Brockhoff held his own today after a rough patch to start the game. He won a lot of 50-50 balls and became a force. He used a size as his advantage and it played out well. Can I add that neither of the Lemus brothers played? Both of them are offensive forces, and Josh may be the best scorer on the team.
