This was a fun match to watch. Both teams played very well. NCC's mid field played really well keeping the ball headed to Boone's goal. Both defenses played well the entire match. Boone had several good looks at the goal but were unable to find net. The score was 0-0 at half.

 

Boone came out a little stronger in the second half getting the ball going their way more than they were able in the first half. The score was still 0-0 after 60 minutes, then 70 minutes, then 75 minutes.

 

With less than 2 minutes to go (according to the score board) Boone and NCC player went up to win a high ball. Boone player went over the back of the NCC player and a foul was correctly called giving NCC a free kick just inside mid field. Boone trotted back to get in position and were too slow getting there. NCC quickly kicked the ball forward and an NCC player got behind the Boone defender for a 1 v 1 with the goalie and scored the decisive goal with about 1:40 left.

 

Boone pressured the NCC goal but could not get a clear shot. Game over.

 

Boone frosh won 1-0.

Boone JV won 3-2.
