Final

Bardstown's defense was incredible today, bottling up NC all over the field. Tigers came up with big plays whenever they needed to on defense to stall Cardinal drives deep in Bardstown territory. NC shot themselves in the foot as well with a ton of penalties that always seemed to come in critical situations.

 

Tigers weren't fantastic on offense, but they did enough, breaking off three long TD runs on big plays to get their scoring (in addition to 2 FGs).

 

I'm intrigued to see how Bardstown handles next week's visit to E'town.

Tigers held NC to 239 yards total. Bardstown ran for nearly 400 on a team that allowed just 107 total last week. This game makes the Tigers' blowout loss to Spencer Co. to open the season look anomalous in hindsight.

 

The two teams combined for 28 penalties. Seems like this was the week helmet-to-helmet hits were being heavily enforced.
