McNicholas (OH) @ Covington Catholic Predictions

Who wins this matchup tonight?

Maybe, more importantly, does CCH get what they haven't from most of the other out-of-state matches they scheduled for this season. To date, it appears that the match with Elder might be the only one that has truly helped them prepare for a deep post season run next month.

...

Close, definitely a match that improves them down the road, and CovCath ultimately wins it 3-1 after leading at the half 2-0.

That is all the detail you can provide? Who has the goals, assisted, or unassisted would also be helpful. :thumb:

Can't argue with this.... of course there has to be a PK in the mix.

Hopefully OTB weighs-in, I think he has been keeping a running tally of the PK's awarded this season. He should be able to predict the chances of one being given in this match.

Colonel defense will be tested tonight I think as McNick has some quality attackers. Key for CCH will be their defense and playing hard for 80 minutes as a team.

Not a bad Day.

CCH, 2-1 final, with no PK award to either team.

Summit will be another good game and the timing is good, last game before the "real" season begins.

Even though the Walnut Hills and Seven Hills teams this year were not what they normally are, (very good) you have to tip your hat to CCH for scheduling (and being consistently good enough for these teams to even put you on their schedule) these OH teams, Elder, McNicholas, Summit, etc.

More NKY teams would benefit from playing a stronger schedule, question is how many of these strong Cincinnati teams would even schedule most NKY teams?

Ryle is one, playing 3 Cincinnati schools this season, 0-2 so far. Brossart scheduled La Salle, give them both credit. Can't think of another NKY team playing a good Cincinnati school.

They also have La Salle on the schedule.

1-0 CCH at half on a Michael Vogt goal but the Colonels have wasted a ton of good chances. Poor execution when it matters. CCH deep into the bench already. Romes with one save in goal for CCH but it was a good one.
