It was a tale of two weeks for Collins, following up a low scoring affair with lightly regarded Montgomery County with a blowout of Bullitt East, a 5A team on the fringe of the rankings. Now they'll take on 1-1 Louisville Eastern, which also took down Bullitt East by a modest 28-14 score before taking it on the chin against CAL 42-7 last week. It's the home opener for Collins, the first time they'll play in front of a partisan crowd since a 34-9 blowout loss to Central Hardin last year. Will they wipe away the memory of that loss to a 6A opponent with a win over another one?

Of course they will. This Collins team will grow as the year moves forward. Montgomery Co. backed up their game with a win last week.

Most people, like myself, have thrown that game against CH and many others last year out the window. Again Coach Lucas is building this team week by week for the playoffs.
