Since the board is dead, I'd like to hear how the KY girls are doing over the summer.

 

The team I follow is the Cincy Static Blue 98. They have four KY girls that are having an outstanding summer. They are 34-4-2 on the year. They are a 16u team, but have played in 2 18u events.

 

KY girls:

Payton Hamm - Oldham Co

Kennedy Baugh - Notre Dame

Haley Coffey - Highlands

Shelby Graybill - Highlands

 

Finishes:

Dayton Metro ASA Gold - Dayton, Ohio - 1st place

Queen of the Diamonds ASA National Qualifier - Pittsburgh, PA - 1st place

PGF Midwest Priemier Showcase (18U) - Toledo, Oh - 1st place

Ohio ASA State championship - Findlay, Oh - 3-0 (cancelled due to weather)

PGF Firecracker Showcase - Indy, IN - did not win this one, but I did not go so I don't know the placement.

Stingrays PGF Showcase (18u) - Columbus, Oh - final 4 finish

 

Next stop, Owensboro KY for the USA Premier Showcase this weekend.

Have any of these girls mentioned determined where they will go for college yet? I know incoming junior year is big for basketball. I wasn't sure about softball...

Hamm and Baugh are incoming jrs and are getting tons of looks all the way from mid-major D1 down to very good NAIA schools. Neither have committed.

 

Coffey is an incoming senior and got looks as an incoming jr, but held off. She has exploded this year and is having conversations with several schools right now, again as high as mid-major D1 schools.

 

Graybill is an incoming SR and has been committed to Bowling Green since last summer.

Great to hear. Sounds like lots of talent in that group!
