June 27, 201511 yr Anybody watching this show on the History channel? If so do you think the participates were obliged to sigh something that states that they could not sue or their families could not sue if they get seriously hurt. Looks to me somebody could easily get killed on that island.
May 9, 201610 yr I caught the last four or five episodes of season 1 and just watched the first three episodes of season 2 on demand (they're currently four episodes into the season). In what I saw in the end of season 1, the final participants seemed to be very resilient in their ability to laugh off the unpleasantries that the wilderness handed them. The final two or three contestants also seemed to show particular strength when it came to finding a way to occupy their minds. In the first few episodes of the 2nd season, it seems apparent already whose attitudes are lacking. One of the competitors tapped out on the first day after coming to the realization that their were an abundance of bears in the vicinity of the island he was set to be camped in. There are a couple of other competitors who already seem to be displaying some highlights of a defeatist attitude. I'm interested to see if those will be some of the next competitors to throw in the towel.

I would have to imagine the History Channel legal department put together a pretty iron clad release for everyone to sign away any rights they have to sue in the case that they are injured or killed.
