Sheldon Clark 2015

Featured Replies

What does Sheldon Clark need to do to improve in 2015? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Sheldon Clark continues to struggle with external factors and a rapidly declining economy.

The Cardinals simply have been at the mercy at a rapidly dwindling talent pool in a County where football has become more of a luxury due to the uncertainty of financial stability in most households. My heart breaks for Sheldon Clark, a program that ten years ago was very strong and formidable. To complicate things even more you have/had the drama between the administration and Shawn Hager and the borderline atrocious facilities and subsequent maintenance.

I would love to see SC rebound back to the form of 10-15 years ago, but I simply cannot see it happening. To make matters worse their District is a bear. Belfry and Lawrence County will be very strong, and the Pike Central program is simply at a higher level than SC's right now.

They will continue to play at the same stadium. The football field is safe to play. It is the old high school that was deemed un-safe and is now condemned.

On a side note my heart breaks for SC. A once proud program is now in shambles. They were as good of a AAA football team as there was in the state in 2009 and 2010. After that they just fell off the face of the earth. I know economic times have hit Martin County hard but this was in motion prior to the tough times. I hope the new coach can pull the program back to relevance but I am not sure it is in the Cards.
