Ryan Swim to attend Union College

Featured Replies

Ryan Swim a 6' 7" center from Corbin will be playing for Coach Kelly Combs next season.

Congrats and welcome to the Bulldog Nation!

Congratulations to Ryan Swim.. A very nice kid who will be a nice addition to the Bulldog program... Is he another JV player like Joe Siler? Coach Combs is really bringing in a lot of players this season..Dunnaway is a steal for the Bulldogs and the big Miller kid will also help the team. Kudos for allowing local in state players the chance to play at the next level. With so many local players the attendance at Bulldog games should be improved.

I'm not really sure. I know that Union was in need of signing some big men because of what they lost to graduation. So, IMO, I'd be willing to say he will see some time on varsity.

If Ryan can break a couple of bad habits and play agressively, he may be able to work his way into some playing time. Anyway, congratulations to Ryan on being able to further his education while continuing to play basketball.

Ryan has the ability to be starter at Union by his junior year if he remains focussed on basketball. He has decent touch around the basket, he is intelligent and he is competitive. He needs to get stronger and he needs to learn how to gain and maintain position under the board. I think he is a good catch for Union. Congratulations Ryan.
