What does Central need to do to improve in 2015? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Outside of maybe a handful of starters, they return the farm. 3A Region 2 is going to be a heck of a show.

Central will be stacked in 2015.

 

The Yellowjackets return 8 starters each way from a team who made a somewhat surprising push to the State Finals.

 

They do lose their top offensive weapon in RB Steven Beason.. but everyone else should have an interchangeable part ready to step in.

 

Remember the name Aaron Duncan... he emerged as a defensive force in November.

 

My biggest critique with Central... and the one that I think will most determine what their successes are in 2015... is aside from the loss of Beason, will they have enough offensive consistency to win it all in a stacked 3A?

 

Myron Norfleet showed promise at times, but he also struggled a great deal with consistency at QB. Brown and Armstrong were playmaking receivers, but also had a tendency to disappear for quarters at a time. In the State Championship game a telling view was the fact Beason was getting absolutely stonewalled but unlike year's past where Central had an option waiting to step in, there was no backup to be called on.

 

You can rest assured Central will be a major factor once more in 3A in 2015...and will have a Championship caliber defense.... but the offense will be the key.
