All Tell Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I just downloaded the first book to listen to as I walk. It's a long book (over 30 hours of audio). I just got to the point where she is transported back in time but I have but I'm really rather blah about it so far. It just seems to drag. The book got generally good reviews but I'm not sold. Does it pick up any?
UKMustangFan Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 There is a TV series on one of the premium channels (Starz I believe) based on this. Haven't seen it, or read the book, but it seemed intriguing.

I agree the premise seems interesting but what I've listened to of the book is just blah. I'm hoping someone here will tell me it gets better.
All Tell Posted May 25, 2015 Author Posted May 25, 2015 Are these the Diana Gibaldan books? I loved them. Those are the ones.
Jaysie Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Sorry I haven't gotten back sooner. Traveling. The novels are pretty accurate, historically. I travelled to the highlands of Scotland and read the first book before visiting Culloden. They continue to immigrating to the US. Hang in for a while.
