Alot of talent and dedication from the jr and sr classes on this team. Weightroom numbers have been up and spring ball went really well.

I believe that GCHS football has been making positive steps in building their program back to respectability and beyond. I do not mean that as a cut / shot at GC. GC Football imo now has a coach that has the kids believing, installed a good work ethic and he has the fan base excited again. I look for the "Muskies" to continue to improve. I wish them the best with the one exception of their game @ Raceland. on Sept 11.

Forgive me my friend. Personally I wouldn't mind the nickname Muskies .... a Musky is a very hard fighting / elusive sport fish to go after. A Musky beats up on a fisherman far more times than they are caught and the fisherman wins. I think that a mean, hard fighting trophy fish is better than three men wearing tights with a "frilly" feather in their hat :popcorn:......but that's just me .

Anyway, point taken and I can assure you and / or any other GC Alum / Fan that I meant no insult by the term. So ...any GC Fan or alum, take a break and chill. I meant nothing by it.
