District Seeding Reminder

Featured Replies

It is that time of year when everyone is speculating about which teams in their district will be seeded what. I just wanted to remind everyone that only the first time that two district teams meet counts towards the seeding. Example:(Hypothetical)

First Meeting

Cumberland 13

Harlan 11

This game will count towards seeding

Second Meeting

Cumberland 5

Harlan 8

This game won't have any effect on district seeding.

Is this a local district rule or the KHSAA interpretation on seeding?

I believe BOTH games played indeed factor in seeding, at least in three team districts according to the KHSAA handbook.
