April 17, 201511 yr (Western Conference Quarterfinal Game 1) Wild take Game 1 by a score of 4-2. It was 2-1 with 1:15 to play in the game. Minnesota nabbed an empty-net goal, then St. Louis pulled back within one with just under a minute left, then Minnesota got another empty-netter with 20 seconds left. That's the reason this final score is not indicative of the defensive struggle this game was. Minnesota's goalie only had to make 19 saves. NOBODY could get a shot off in this one. Lots of defense. Game 2 in St. Louis on Saturday.
April 17, 201511 yr Author Dubnyk acquisition turned this season around for the Wild. No doubt. The big losing streak right around Christmas made that an easy deal to make. The team was absolutely fantastic in March.
April 17, 201511 yr Ok well the Blues with what I consider several really good offensive players could muster no offense. The play was from blue line to blue line. Very few chances in the offensive end throughout most of the game.
