April 4, 201511 yr Here's an article that gives a lot more detail on this shooting (which occurred last July). It also details the shooting of a labrador retriever inside of it's owner's van within a few hours of this shooting a county or two over. There was much more uproar over the pet's shooting than the woman's shooting. It also details an almost identical situation where the police used a stun gun instead of bullets to subdue a woman who was also wielding a fillet knife at them.
