It was the Breds 1st game since last Monday and it showed early on against the Pioneers from Simon Kenton. However the bats came alive in the bottom of the 5th to put this one to bed in 5, 10-0. The NewCath battery combo of Kristen Schreiber and Haley Meyers with the big sticks. Meyers with a "rocket" 2-run triple to the fence in right-center and Schreiber with a line-drive shot that short hops the fence in left for a 3-run double. Haley Meyers throws a 2-hitter to improve to 4-0 on the young season.

 

SK Head Coach Jeff Morgan has a very nice group of young talent on his team, when you consider 4 of the starters are 6th graders, and only two seniors.:eek::eek: This young bunch might take some beatings, but I'm sure the will be giving them before long.
