Former Ballard star JaVonna Layfield soaking in NCAA tournament experience

Former Ballard Lady Bruin Javonna Layfield is a freshman reserve for the Dayton Flyers, who defeated UL and UK in its last two games, and will face No.-1 UCONN tonight on ESPN (7:00 EDT). This article appeared in the Louisville Courier-Journal this morning (Monday). With Duke losing to Maryland, she may be the last Kentuckian still playing in the women's NCAA tourney.

Great kid with an even greater work ethic. Big Fan of hers!
