Cincinnati Bengal Marvin Jones has lunch at NewCath

As most of you know I have quite a few Cincinnati Bengals players that live on my FedEx route. NewCath had one of their biggest fund raisers a few months back and I asked Marvin if he would participate and he was more than willing to help out. We had a Silent Auction for "Lunch with a Bengal", where the winning bidder got to have their son or daughter and 3 classmates have lunch in the middle of the cafeteria with Marvin.

 

Before lunch started I gave Marvin a personal tour of the school, and he was VERY impressed with the view off downtown Cincinnati from up on the "hill". Before he left I took him to the NewCath Spirit Shop to get him some complimentary NewCath wear.

 

The lunchroom was hooping as the cafeteria ladies, some of the football players, and most of the girls :lol2: all posed for pictures with the Bengal wide receiver. The 4 students had a great time asking questions and conversing, and they all got autographed cards and 8x10's and had a great time with their lunch guest.

 

Marvin had a great time and said he was looking forward to watching the Breds football team in 2015. He is another in a long list of Bengal players I've had do this type of thing for NewCath.

The vast majority of the Bengals are really great in the community. I can't name all the players and assistance they have given Covington Independent over the last several years. They give both time and $$.

 

I know we sometimes bash Marvin Lewis, but he really stresses to the players to do these things. I believe it is stressed all throughout the organization. Always good to hear about these things.
