Hard to believe that Anderson is picked as the number 1 and only has 2 girls on the list. They should have at least 4 girls on this list with the names of Mia Aldridge and Corrin Robinson.

Lots of talent in the 8th Region. WOW!!!!

Everyone could argue for players on the list. Looking for Dezarn from Walton to have a big year.

IMO the best player in the region is not even on the list, and she is in the discussion for best player in the state as a junior.

 

I saw it for myself last night when an average team in 2014 like North Oldham took down Ballard in 2015 4-0 last night. How did they do it, it's easy wihen you have a D1 player that takes over the game by going 4-4, scores 4 runs and plays the field like Ozzie Smith in his prime. She plays a different level of the game than the other girls, talent is talent.

 

The region teams will figure it out and pitch around her or just put her on base and let her steal her way around and score at will. It is better to give up one than 2 or 3 by letting her hit.

 

Dossett is an excellent player, but my vote is for Ozzie from North Oldham.

Wow that's back-to-back losses for #4 Ballard. Dunbar, then North Oldham.

I was at the Ballard game last night and didn't see anyone on North Oldham play like Ozzie Smith. Their shortstop is a 8th grader so I know it wasn't her. Ballard completely overlooked N. Oldham and got beat but give North credit they cam out and played really inspired. The pitcher for North Maioco is their best player by far.

I'd say the reference is to Parker. Glad to see her do well for NOHS. She is a fine player, that got a lot of positive vibes from the Ballard Hype Machine the past couple seasons playing there. Ironic.

Overlooked? Maybe, but giving up a 1 hit shutout is more than overlooking in my book. After I saw the score last night, I figured there was a Brownsboro Rd rain dance going on in the face of a looming 3 day road losing streak going into Mercy tonight. Appears to have worked.

Have not seen Parker play or if I have nothing stood out. But not to take anything away from her I'd say she would be hard pressed to beat the top 3 or 4 on this list. Dossett is a solid player going to Syracuse, Curry is probably the best hitter in the state going to Toledo, Currens is as about as solid second baseman that there is anywhere and hits the ball well. So that's pretty tough competition right there, but time will tell as the season moves forward.

Give it up to Oldham Co. Coach who gets his girls on the list. They have some good players but you are right, Anderson has been #1 in the 8th for a long time for a reason. Always impressed by Brent's team and he's a SC boy. Maybe we can get him back over here one day.
