Trigg County head coach Bill Chumbler announced his retirement today. Chumbler was 79-39 in four years at Trigg County and guided the Wildcats to three district titles in his four seasons. Last year's team was 21-8 and lost to UHA in the All-A finals and to Henderson County in the Second Region semifinals.

His overall record was 780-190, including a 288-94 record as a Kentucky head coach.

Trigg County will make a decision quickly whether to promote a qualified assistant who was a head coach in Indiana before coming to Trigg, or advertising the job statewide.

I saw this on Channel 6 news.

Has Trigg decided to open the job up, or hire the assistant, and if so what is his name?
