Final

Shelby County improves to 26-5 and will play the winner of Simon Kenton/Oldham County Friday night at 8.

Congrats to Jason Holland and the Lady Rockets! It took a quarter for SC to really get going, but once they did, they really stretched their legs out like a thoroughbred. Lady Rocket 2-2-1 is very tough.

Kudos also to Paul Stone and the Lady Panthers. It would have been very easy for the 11-16 Panthers to just "be happy that they were there" and cash it in early. But they came in with a great game plan and took it to Shelby early. In fact, Carroll led nearly the entire first period and it was tied, 11-11 after one. In the end, Shelby just had too many athletes.

Very impressed by Lauren Moore on the inside for Carroll. She played a great game, and got a double-double against maybe the best frontcourt in the region.

On the Lady Rockets' side, it was a lot of fun watching Zephaniah Gray off the bench - she was an EXPLOSION on the court on both ends. Gotta love that kind of energy coming off the bench.
