UKMustangFan Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Figured this would be a good place to discuss the performances and Reds chatter now that Spring Training games are starting. First game of the season starts today at 3 pm. On the radio at 700. Interested to see how some of the younger guys perform, and if any are a surprise inclusion on the Opening Day roster.

UKMustangFan Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 How bout we get a radio broadcast that doesnt sound like Marty is in a cave. Good Grief. Won't have to worry about it after today. Believe this is the only ST game on the radio.
plantmanky Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Won't have to worry about it after today. Believe this is the only ST game on the radio. The said last week they were doing all of them on the radio this year and about 3-4 on TV. Maybe I heard wrong.

UKMustangFan Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 Biggest question mark to me is who's going to nab the 4th and 5th spots in the rotation. Seems like quite a few guys could have a legit shot....Iglesias, Marquis, DeSclafani, Cingrani, Maholm, Axelrod, Corcino, maybe Lorenzen or Stephenson?

plantmanky Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Who is the backup 1st baseman this year, and what does the future hold. As time goes on, the less we can count on Votto to even play.

I think Cingrani is sink or swim this year.

plantmanky Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Frazier Then who is going to play third? We cant seriously not have a 1B ready to go in the system can we.
HammerTime Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Then who is going to play third? We cant seriously not have a 1B ready to go in the system can we. Pena, Negron, whoever makes it from the Utility spot. If we have to worry about someone playing 1B that many times this year we will have plenty of other problems.
JBSmash Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Question - Why would Price come out this early and say that Cozart is the starter at ss, hands down?? Since Cozart had such a lousy year at the plate, would you not want the ss you brought over from Detroit to at the very least provide some competition for Cozart to try and bring out the best in him?
