Barren River State Resort Park Golf Course

Featured Replies

Can anybody give some details about the golf course at Barren River? Heading there in May and wanting to know some information about the course if anybody has played it or heard much about it? Thanks

I have been there twice. Unfortunately I haven't been there since October 2000. The first time I was there I got to play the course because my cousin was playing in a practice round. The second time I was there to watch the same cousin play in the Boys HS state golf tourney. That right there should tell you that it is not a bad course.

It's like a usual state park course: tight, lots of trees and hills, greens could be better, etc. Don't remember the green fee, but I don't think it was expensive at all. Overall I was pleased with my trip to Barren County. Hopefully you will be pleased as well.

Thank you very much!

I highly recommend the golf package by the Kentucky State Parks (T's and Z's). It is one heck of a deal.

For example, this is the 2nd year we are doing it...last year we went to Dale Hollow and loved it. The package is $259.00+ tax...so it actually came out to be $301.67 for all of the following: Weekend lodging at the resort, breakfast and dinner free each day (Food was beyond great), Cart Fee, Green Fee's, and this year upon arriving we get a $20 or $25 gift card to use as replay, pro shop, anywhere....it's one heck of a deal that's all inclusive.

Your welcome. I am in college right now, but when I get a little older I might try that golf package. It looks like a pretty good deal. Have fun in BC!
