GRC scored early, claiming a 44-7 lead at the half. Skinner led George Rogers Clark Hoops Varsity’s offense with 17 points, including nine during the first period. She also contributed eight rebounds and two blocks. Two other players also racked up double digit scores for GRC. Elizabeth Hardiman scored 14 points and Sydney Anderson put up 11 points. Paige Taylor put up two three-pointers and scored eight points total. Also chipping in were Kylee Murray (9 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block), Jasmine Flowers (4 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal), Alexis Williams, A (4 points, 1 rebound), Lauren Welsh (4 points, 1 steal) and Sarah Soard (3 points). Hardiman was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up 11 rebounds, three steals and one block. George Rogers Clark finished the game with 39 rebounds (12 offensive/27 defensive), four blocks and 10 steals. GRC will now take on Bourbon County, a 49-40 winner over Montgomery County, in the 40th District championship game on Wednesday night at 7:00 pm.
