Looks like the next chance for snow for us will be starting early on Thursday morning. It should start out as rain sometime on Wednesday then change over to snow overnight or early morning on Thursday. The following map shows that most of the state has at least a 50% chance of seeing at least an 1" of snow. The chance grows to at least 70% for northern and eastern Kentucky.

 

As of now 1-2" across most of the state. We joke about a bubble but this time the map is showing something like that around the Bowling Green area were that chance of receiving at least an inch is 20-30%.

 

I'll be updating periodically as we get closer to Thursday.

I can't remember the last time there was a real, true run of snow for areas of our state south of the BG and WK parkwahs.

 

Inch or two here or there. Maybe a random 3-4 incher that is gone in a day (two weekends ago). But, that's about it.

 

Almost like the unofficial dividing line...

Wednesday morning update:

 

First, don't let this afternoon highs fool you. Most of the state will see highs in the 50's later tonight a cold front will pass through dropping the temps into the 30's in a hurry. The temps may even get into the 20's before the snow comes. Most of the state may see around an 1" or less. The best chance to see more than an inch is north of a line from around Owensboro through Richmond towards the east. Area north of a line from about Louisville to Huntington could be looking at 1-2".
