We had to pay $100 a game in the All A to broadcast our games. Didn't really understand why but those were the rules put forth to us and with this being our first yr and being fortunate enough to make it to State All A there was no way we were not going to broadcast. We had some good people raise the $200 it cost us to broadcast.

 

I was not aware that certain schools charge to broadcast in their gym and to answer the origional question no it is absolutely not cool.

I also have download and edit privleges which allows me to download all of our respective broadcasts, put them on a CD and give them to our kids at the end of their season which they have forever.

If a public school is charging a fee to access their internet they are breaking federal law. All public schools are provided Internet access at a discounted rate through usac using universal service funds. The fine is easily in the $10,000's to $100,000's range. Or if the own school is making money from commercials or charging a fee to access a web broadcast they are breaking the law. Pretty much you are not allowed to make any money from the use of Internet.
