MountainThunder Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 North Laurel trailed 3-2 after 6 innings. They scored 5 runs in the top of the 7th to pull off the upset. Senior Ryan Howell threw a great game from the mound and got the complete game win for the Jaguars. More small ball gets the Jags another solid win. Was a very close game for the entire way. Boyd County led after 6. This is from the tournament in Cocoa Beach. A great team effort for North Laurel to pull off this upset! :thumb:
Boucher Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I don't know the name of Boyd's pitcher, but I do know that he was hitting 90+ on the gun early on. Great comeback by the Jags in the 7th inning. As MT said, a great effort by NL senior pitcher, Ryan Howell.

From the updates I have been getting, the Jags are 1 bad half of an inning from being 3-0 at Cocoa Beach. They will learn from that 1/2 inning and be just fine. This is a huge win for them! :thumb:
baseballmomma Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 Wow! Nice win for North Laurel. Congratulations. Putting 7 runs on the board off of one of Boyds flamethrowers is very impressive.

Jim Schue Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 Wow! Big win for the Jags. That should help them forget the loss to Ashland the day before. Boucher: Got your PM — Thanks! That's no problem.
