January 21, 201511 yr A letter from the Most Reverend Roger J. Foys, D.D. - Bishop of Covington. My dear friends: As the Bishop of the Diocese of Covington, I once again invite our faithful to join together in prayer and action on January 22, to commemorate the 42nd anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. Over 55 million lives have been lost to abortion since that tragic decision, and even more lives of parents, families and providers have been shattered due to an abortion experience. Always acting in charity, we must work together to eliminate attacks on the sanctity of human life. Opportunities abound for everyone in our society to be part of the Culture of Life where laws reflect the dignity and sacredness of every human being. I invite you to get involved and be one of the many faces of pro-life! On Thursday, January 22, over 1,000 youth and adults from the Diocese of Covington will join hundreds of thousands of faithful citizens from across this great land in our nation’s capital to March For Life! Please join me in praying that our country’s leaders will be inspired by God to restore the United States Constitution’s declaration of our inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Please pray for me, as I pray for each and every one of you, so that together we will become a country of citizens who understand that life is a gift from God, and that life deserves protection from conception to natural death. Yours devotedly in the Lord, Most Reverend Roger J. Foys, D.D. Bishop of Covington My daughter will be among those who are traveling to Washington D.C. tonight to join the March for Life. Please pray for her and all students in the Diocese that they may have safe travels this week. Thank you!
