When have you been to a high school girls basketball game where the team's losing parents and fans weren't giving it to the refs. The next one I go to will be the first.

Every gym I am in, and that is a lot have the Ref bashers. Player bashers not so much. And for the record we have the best refs, 9th Region. Cheer for your team, leave the rest alone.

That's my point I sat in the middle and didn't hear or see the heckling??? Sorry

I guess justifying your fan bases reaction by pointing out a single persons actions(not saying it did or didn't happen)and saying it's how all Holmes fan's are is irresponsible!!

Heckling an oppossing player by a parent is unnaceptable!! And if it was noticeable by this players parents how was it not addressed?? I mean let me hear another fan bases parents heckle my daughter!!

Be to every instate game this year with the exception of 1 and never seen or herd anything out the normal from holmes fans nor parents. But I did witness a NDA player call my child a bad name at the end of yesterday's game but I bet NDA supporters will find a way to condone that behavior.

I didn't see or hear any heckling all I could hear was NDA parents screaming for whistles and telling the refs they sucked! Thought it was interesting to see other parents reactions to the guy repeatedly yelling the refs sucked!! Now that's class!!

I guess trying to deflect classless behavior by an ADULT to a TEENAGER works for you two. I didn't hear this adult either as one poster said he was making comments maybe not necessarily heard by most, even players on the court. My daughter doesn't normally pay attention to the stands but when one of her teammates fouls out and there's a fan clapping and saying "You're next 40, you're next", she takes notice. This was in the last 5 min or so of the game. Holmes is winning, apparent they were going to win, what really was the purpose of the ADULT to make comments?

As for our player calling Holmes player a bad name, no I don't think anyone at NDA would condone it. It doesn't show sportsmanship. The difference between this incident and the one with my daughter is it was TEENAGER TO TEENAGER, not ADULT to TEENAGER. If you think your kids go to school and aren't called names, even at Catholic schools, you're living with your head in the sand & ought to pull it out.

As for the parents calling out the refs, I think I already addressed that and said that our parents at times do that as do every schools parents. Heard some Holmes fans having words for the refs last night when there were calls against your team. Goes both ways. However, it is ADULT to ADULT heckling.

You should really just sit back and ride the wave of success your girls are giving rather than attempt to justify :poop: behavior by one of your adult fans.

I know what you are saying but remember, refs take care of players and police take care of fans. Think twice before you act on that one but I do appreciate your thought..

And the single sided stands like at NDA are dangerous for this aspect.

Not justifying any behavior wrong is wrong but don't associate one person's bad judgement for the whole!!

There were a whole lot of Johnny come lately fans at the game yesterday... You know the kind who only show interest in moments when a team is good and I suspect that's where the issue here lies. No regular attendee has had any malice intent in prior games and since the game was in hand what parent on the good side of a 22 point victory would have reason to be upset?? The majority of us sit in proximity and none of us were aware of the heckling.. All I can say is sorry it happened!

Oh I promise you....my husband and I did not notice it or it would have been addressed. We were told after the game by my daughter.

Exactly, it was one person and I corrected my generalization of Holmes fans to the one idiot fan yesterday.

Wow, talking about beating a dead horse, geez. Some of you act like you never been around high school sports. Yes, kids call other kids bad names, they talk trash, and through elbows when they think refs aren't looking. I finally figured out why,as the answer lies right here. They do it so their parents can come on message boards and whine for 2 days. When my kids was getting heckled, it meant one thing, they was playing awesome. I loved watching other parents reactions when she hit her 4th 3 of the game. Enjoy the game, some of you are waaaayyyyy to sensitive.

Now I will let you guys go back to bashing each others fans and players. Must be a 9th region thing, I dunno.

Nice to see you taking interest in the 9th. Come to a game some time so we can entertain you even more.

Thanks for the invite, I'll pass. I see them yearly at Lexington Catholic tournament. It's a great tournament, as Simon Kenton and NCC already know, maybe more 9th region teams should try it.

Best tournament around, well run and well attended.
