St. Henry 59, Lloyd 25: Savannah Neace scored 11 of her 15 points in the first quarter to set the tone for St. Henry in a Ninth Region All "A" Classic game played at Villa Madonna.

 

Paige Noble added 10 points for the Crusaders, who advance to play Covington Latin today at 6 p.m. at Villa Madonna.

 

Jordan Gentry scored nine points for Lloyd.

Good overall game by St Henry. Noble is playing like she is fully capable. Still too many team turnovers.

Lloyd has some nice athletes but no height at all, which obviously hurt them. Mostly in the rebounding department. Multiple opportunities off missed shots was what killed them against St Henry last night. I thought they actually played the Crusaders much tougher a week prior in a loss. Seemed like they kind of gave up and got lazy somewhere around middle to end of the 3rd quarter when there had to have been at least three steals at the top of the key for break away layups.

Lady Cru has Cov Latin tonight and- barring a big upset on either side- I expect will play Newport on Friday.
