1. My team is shooting a freethrow. My free throw shooter is behind the FT line and receives the ball from the referee. For some reason one of my rebounders who is in middle position around the lane runs off the line for some reason (thus resulting in a lane violation). My shooter though has not yet shot the FT yet. Can I call timeout before the free throw attempt in order to bring my team to the bench and then send them back out, thus resetting the entire situation? I hope I explained this clearly.

2. Same situation, with my team shooting free throws. The referee makes a poor bounce pass to my shooter causing her to shift her feet. Can she look at the referee and request another pass so she will not have to disrupt her free throw routine?

1. Violation occurs on the movement out of the lane after the shooter has the ball.

2. If the official agrees that it's a poor pass on his/her part then he'll allow them to reset. If he/she thinks the pass is good enough then no.
