The Beechwood Tigers junior varsity wrapped up their season with a clear cut 42-14 victory over a previously undefeated Walton Verona Bearcats JV. Beechwood controlled this game in the trenches from the start, with the Beechwood lines on both sides of the ball doing what they wanted throughout. Aiden Justice had a big game running the ball for Beechwood. Trevor Soward also displayed some strong running. Standout players for Walton Verona in the game were Evan Anderson and Tyler Townsend.

 

Beechwood's JV ended the year winning 3 of their last 4 and finished with a 4-3 record.

This was a good test for the Bearcats. 5 turnovers did not help the Bearcats today.

The Justice kid is a nice player.

WV finshes 9-1 for the year with this team consisting mostly of Freshman and Sophmores.

Good job Bearcats and good luck to Beechwood in the future!

Beechwood JV finished strong. Great job. Kudo's to #44 Soward for strong running and defensive plays, #22 Justice...great instinctive runner and a hitter on defense, #51 Hermes...played D-Line, O-Line at times, Fullback (15 yards on 2 carries this game) making big lead blocks, and linebacker with the injury to #39 Burns. He made a lot of plays, #18 Everett...first year QB, great athlete. #19 Benson, very disruptive on both sides of the ball.

All the kids contributed at one time or another....great experience which should prove to be BIG for this group not only the rest of this varsity year, but for next years team. Go Tigers.
