A nice win for the Beechwood JV. This group has certainly improved as the season has gone on. That is exactly what JV is all about. Get the young players experience and get them better. Outstanding players today for Beechwood were Aiden Justice, Trevor Soward, Dalton Everett and Riley Burns. Beechwood controlled this game from beginning to end, using a very stout defense and a power rushing game.

For Cooper, Jaden Jackson, Daniel Wasser and Blake Stephens played well. Their QB played pretty well also and has potential - Jared Lonaker.

Here is how the scoring went:

First Quarter

2:39 ... BW QB Everett to Riley Burns 19 yard TD, German XP ..... 7-0

Third Quarter

6:30 ... BW Justice 1 yard run, German XP ..... 14-0

5:17 ... BW Soward 25 yard run, XP no good ..... 20-0

1:20 ... BW Everett fumble recovery and run for TD 15 yards, German XP ..... 27-0

Fourth Quarter

6:37 ... Cooper's Jackson 5 yard TD run, 2 point try no good ..... BW 27-6

3:15 ... BW Justice 47 yard TD run, German XP ..... BW 34-6

Regardless of the "knowledge" some may spew on this forum, Cooper is set up to have a few good years of FB with potential to continue in developing young players

I am not sure what you are referring to there CooperSportsFan. Perhaps you could help us out and spell it out for us.

Congrats to Beechwood JV on the win. After seeing how the JV played last night and this big win today, it looks like Beechwood will be fine next year despite all the seniors starting for the varsity.

A few members seem to think big losses equal bad future for the varsity squad

You are talking about big JV losses? If yes, I agree with you. JV scores do not tell us a lot about varsity success.

Great recap Eye....I would also give credit to Rowe. Coming back this week after a broken ankle and also Hermes and Benson for doing what they do each week on defense. Great job
