I don't think Doss can pull it off. They lack a legit post player, have a new coach, and they still haven't proven they can win. JTown is probably a little high on there too. They most likely won't get out of their district with Bullitt East and Fern Creek.

Jtown/Fern Creek as toss up for district. The edge to Jtown because of limited experience although Fern Creek had better coaching But the sleeper in the District is Whitefield Academy. They played all the district foes tight last year and returns their whole lineup this year. So it really could be Bullitt East and Whitefield that comes out of district.

I see Doss not getting close to potential because they have a lot going on. New coach, point guard coming off knee injury, and chemistry issues. Summer ball was not good for them, it would be interesting to see how many football players end up playing this year (mainly their big man who committed to WKU).

Is there a legit post player in the region? It's a serious question.

If your definition of "legit" is Ray Spaulding, no. LOL. But Bullitt East has 2 pretty good bigs in Bacon and Farris. I didn't see PRP last year. They usually have some size though. How big is Gaines?

Tyler Bacon & Jared Farris (Bullitt East) with Farris really being the better of the 2. Tyler Jefferson is a decent size guy for Doss but the questions remains will he play basketball or focus on football for WKU. Gaines for PRP is an athletic 4 that would play a 3 at the next level. But the 7th isn't much better after Spaulding. Eastern has Trey Moses but he is not going to dominate anyone night in/out. Also Chris Coffey of Seneca is decent as well.

I think this region has the most question marks of any this year. There's not one clear cut favorite, and most had issues during the summer. It could be back and forth all year long, and might come down to one team, any of 8 or 9 teams, getting hot for 3 games in the region. Should be fun, interesting and possibly even ugly all rolled into one.
