Not sure if anything has been moved or not but I've been told that in the 9th region, only two schools can host regionals due to the new specs (Ryle and Highlands).

What would be wrong with Dixie Heights?

Has to be 65 yards wide. NKU and Thomas More would qualify. I don't know how these other regions will do it.

Same story in region 7, its coming down...but rumor has it that it will be repealed next year.

Instead of repealing it, they need to apply it to the regular season. Would force some the cow pastures to be corrected and standardize the games.

Unless it meets standards......I have always stated that at a minimum all districts and regionals should have to be the same dimensions as the final games.....and match the turf or grass.......that way we truly send the teams that match up best to the fields ........I know it can never happen, but the regular season games should be he same........play game 1 and all after as if it was a march to state.

Well the rumor is the finals have to be held on a field that is 75 yards wide. Are we implying that high school soccer needs to played on a nearly world cup sized field? Seems a bit ambitious.

Here's what's on KHSAA website regarding specifications for region, semi-state and state: " The games shall be held on a rectangular, 110

to 120 yards long and 65 to 80 yards wide. "
