First I want to send out a big thank you to athletic director MOLLY FELLER from Bellaire for the pass and to commend announcer Scott McHahon on the outstanding job he does on letting all the fans know in the stadium know who had the ball and which player or players made the tackle or was on coverage along with calling the names of the players recovering fumbles, making picks and applying pressure to the quarterback.

 

Now to today's action John Marshall would get on the board first with a one-yard quarterback keeper by Noah Martin. The drive lasted for 8-plays totaling 37-yards. On the drive eight straight running plays was called. On the conversion play Aaron Bishop fired a strike to Jacoby Maury to make the score, 8-0.

 

On the ensuing kickoff, Tyler West was able to field the ball and then make a nice run all the way to the John Marshall 33-yard line, with 3:35 left in the quarter.

 

With 1:21 left in a penalty fest first quarter Bellaire was able to convert a 4th and 11 when, 6-4 200 pound senior quarterback connected with Justin Keyser.

 

9:45 remained in the half and Bellaire faced another fourth down, and again opted to go for it. This time John Marshall would come up with a stop when, Ramsay was picked off by Austin Skrzyneki.

 

Chase Gump would pick up 26-yards on a nice run for John Marshall, with 9:36 left in the half.

 

Jimmy Michelucci, would be hit by what looked like half of the Bellaire defense with, 7:55 left in the half for a short loss on the play.

 

Noah Martin would connect with Skrzyneki to convert a fourth down and four. Skrzyneki was wide opened on the play and made the catch like he probably had a 100 times before.

 

Derek Schybal had tight coverage on Skrzyneki with 6:37 left in the half and he was able to knock the pass away, with committing interference on the play even though many fans though he had.

 

With 5:50 showing on the clock and John Marshall facing a 4th and 15 they elected to go for it. If not for Alex Wooten dropping the pass they would have gotten the first down. Applying white on rice tight coverage for Bellaire was D'Eondre Burney.

 

The John Marshall defense was able to gets all kinds of pressure on Ramsey all day and with 4:33 left in the half Scoot Kubancik not only applied the pressure he recorded the sack.

 

With 4:11 left in the quarter Bellaire could have gotten a nice gain but Ramsey over threw his receiver.

 

The last play of the half was a 50-yard long bomb from Martin to Whorton . A two point run by Michelucci was stopped by Cody LaRoche.

 

There was no scoring in the third but there were some nice play made by both teams, who looked to be playing very hard and very clean.

 

With 9:01 left int he third Ramsey was picked off by, Patrick Yocum.

 

Then with 7:35 left int he quarter, with the aid of some nice blocking Michelucci picked up early 70-yards on a screen play.

 

On a 4th and 4, with 5:39 left in the third John Marshall was on the Bellaire ten yard line and again opted to go for the first if not for a low pass they would have made it.

 

The John Marshall defense would record another sack on Ramsay, this one by Daniel Baker at the 4:19 mark of the quarter.

 

Beallaire just missed getting a nice gain on a well set up screen pass, but Ramsay just over threw the receiver, with 3:51 left.

 

With 2:01 left in this scoreless third it was Martin who over threw a wide open receiver forcing his team to punt on fourth down.

 

Martin would make up for the over throw just 1:58 int the final frame, when he hit Jared Horan for a touchdown on a third and 13 situation. On a two point conversion pass D'Eondre Burney deflected the ball causing an incomplete PASS. This kept the score 20-0 John Marshall.

 

The John Marshall defense recorded another sack when, Dalton Blake and Scott Kubancik got to Ramsay for a short loss.

 

Just 8:43 was left in the game when Bellaire converted a fourth and one when Ramsay hit Tyler West for a short gain.

 

Ramsay connected with Bralen Snell on a 42-yard touchdown pass, with 8:09 left in the game. The point after kick by Cody LaRoche was wide right keeping the score,20-6.

 

At the 5:15 mark of the final stanza Martin connected with Skrzyneki, who broke a tackle around the five and then bullied his way into the end zone. The point after kick by Martin was no good leaving this a, 26-6 ball game.

 

The final score of the contest came from John Marshall with 4:06 left. The score was by Kyle Caruso and the play totaled 66-yards, Martine hit the point after to make the final score, 33-3

The year I caught 100 different teams live back in 2007, I was asked to track this and did so.

 

I can not remember the number but it was amazing to some.
