Things got off to a rainy start at Moscher Field down along Rt. 8. JV game was played in the rain for practically the whole game. Boone JV won the game 3-1. Then five minutes before the start of the varsity game the skies turned blue and the sun began to shine. The field was terribly slick as the game got under way making it extremely difficult to react to the ball. NCC was able to put pressure on the Boone side more than the other way around in the first half. NCC player was tripped in the box and so the ref correctly called a PK. NCC scored on the PK. Shot taken by #11. Score was NCC 1-0 at halftime.

Boone came out with a little better effort in the second half though NCC was still playing well. Boone made a run up the right side of the field. Thamann crossed it in front of the goal and Brock headed it in. Lots of game was left to be played. Both teams had multiple opportunities to score but no one could get the ball in the goal. Boone's second goalie made a couple of really nice saves. The game ended in a tie.

Interestingly, the game was very similar to their match at Tower Park for Soccerama. In that game, Boone scored first with a header in the first half. NCC scored in the second half on a PK. Final score in that one was 1-1. These are two pretty evenly matched teams. I am a Boone fan but I must say the boys from NCC are quite good. I wish them well in the rest of their season.

Agree...nice update....

One has to wonder......why wasn't JV cancelled? Or played after V if the field was wet..........keep the field in good shoe for the v game....
