North Oldham 3 Boone County 0

It was a wet and slippery night. I wasn't there but my wife reported the score by text. I'll find out more details later.

NO used their superior passing to keep pressure on the Boone goal. They score 3 goals in the first half. 2nd half Boone did a better job of keeping the ball away from their goal but weren't able to mount much of an attack on offense. This resolves a tie from last year's game down at NO's field. The Boone team is disappointed with how things turned out.

Next game for Boone is Newport Central Catholic on Tuesday. They met in the soccerama and played to a 1-1 tie.

I was at the game. Rained off and on throughout.

I got there about 9 mins into the game and NO was already up 2-0 by then.

I was told 1 was off a silly mistake by BC's defense and bascially a give away.

NO, clearly had better overall talent and controlled the ball about 70% of the time I watched.

BC looked to do long through balls and most were hopeful although a couple, due to slippery field, did results in a couple good.

BC started their stating goalie in the second half and it showed although they were down 3-0 by then.

The AR near the benches looked like the walking wounded. The game was way too fast for him to be able to keep up with it.

The one on the bleachers side was nominally better off. Luckily, neither had a real affect on the game.

Bottom line, BC has 4-5 physically strong players with decent technical skill but lack overall team technical abilities and those that have it seem to rely on strength and speed.

^Good info, futbalfan!

Welcome to BGP!

You mentioned that BC started their starting goalie in the second half. Any idea why he did not play in the first half?

Congrats to North Oldham on the win! Nice game.

Didn't hear why but interesting enough is NO starting goalie didn't play at all. He's a 6' 6" XU signee and out due to injury.
